AMÉN & OLE is a documentary that offers a glimpse into the rich traditions of Sevilla, the capital of Andalucía.
It focuses on two of its most iconic celebrations:
Semana Santa (Holy Week) and Feria de Abril (April Fair). Each transforms the city in its own way: One through solemn religious processions, the other through vibrant festivities of music, dance, and social gatherings.
The film explores questions of identity, community, and exclusivity: How do these celebrations shape Sevilla's sense of self? Where do they create bonds, and where do they draw boundaries? How is tradition performed in the tension between lived faith, tourist expectations, and cultural self-promotion?
